The story of Danna’s BBQ goes back to my childhood…
Growing up not far from ” The Brisket House”, a restaurant owned and operated by my Great Aunt Ruth and Uncle Jack in Baytown, Texas. I have great memories of sitting at the counter there eating BBQ and sipping Coke, dreaming of owning a restaurant one day of my own.
In the summer of 2001, that dream became a reality!
My husband Kyle and I purchased a small BBQ restaurant that soon became known as Danna’s BBQ and Burger Shop. With BBQ running through my bloodline, and Kyle with the business knowledge and a passion for BBQ we had no doubt that it would be a success?
Unfortunately, a little over a year later an electrical fire burned the restaurant down in the middle of the night. But, we weren’t deterred, Kyle and I remodeled an old hotel still on the property into the existing restaurant.
Since then, we have expanded with two additional locations, in Branson West and Kirbyville, Mo.
And there’s no question Danna’s BBQ remains a family business, with our two sons Matt and Lance helping out since they were young boys. On weekends, and during the summer you can find our two boys helping out and caring for the family business.
Danna’s is about family and community. We support the local fire department, emergency services, and police department, in addition to our local church and sport teams.
